Saudi Arabia's Humain, the AI company launched by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) in May 2025, has begun preparing for a potential initial public offering just 16 months after its founding. CEO Tareq Amin published an announcement seeking a specialized team for the task, a move that follows a rapid series of infrastructure deals, product launches, and a $3 billion investment that gave the company a significant minority stake later converted into SpaceX shares.
Infrastructure built at speed
Humain started its operational life with immediate, large-scale partnerships. On the day after its launch, the company announced plans with Nvidia for a project reaching up to 500 megawatts over five years, with Amin setting a 2030 target of 1.9 gigawatts. Amazon Web Services simultaneously committed more than $5 billion to establish an "AI Zone" in Saudi Arabia, a partnership later expanded through the Humain One initiative to accelerate enterprise AI adoption.
The company's infrastructure network grew to include Qualcomm, Blackstone, AirTrunk, AMD, Cisco, and xAI. A joint venture with Center3, the digital infrastructure arm of stc, aims to build AI data centers with operating capacity starting at 250 MW and scaling to 1 GW. In November 2025, Amazon and Humain announced plans to operate up to 150,000 AI accelerators in Riyadh. By early September 2026, the company was raising $2.5 billion for a fund to finance data center capacity, with Reuters reporting Goldman Sachs had been selected to advise on a financing package worth at least SR20 billion ($5.33 billion).
From models to hardware to platforms
Humain's product development moved in parallel with its infrastructure buildout. In August 2025, the company launched Humain Chat, powered by the Allam 34B large language model, placing Arabic and its cultural contexts at the center of the experience. A month later, it unveiled the Horizon Pro computer, running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite processor and designed to integrate with Humain One.
Humain One itself was officially introduced on October 28, 2025, as an enterprise operating platform that uses AI agents to execute tasks and manage workflows. By August 2026, during the LEAP conference, the company had added the Horizon Ultra - a computer built to run models locally while tapping cloud resources when needed - and announced a collaboration with Microsoft to make Allam available through Microsoft's AI ecosystem. Adobe also expanded its partnership to develop an image model tailored to Saudi culture and provide free tools to more than 27 million eligible users, a package Adobe valued at over $4 billion.
Operational milestones and sector expansion
August 31, 2026 brought an operational landmark: Humain launched computing infrastructure developed with AMD as part of its Cisco partnership. On the same day, the company's scope extended into transportation through an agreement with Applied Intuition to deploy autonomous trucks by 2030, complementing an earlier collaboration with Nvidia to build an autonomous mobility ecosystem on Nvidia DRIVE Hyperion.
The company also moved beyond pure technology. In July 2026, Saudi football club Al-Nassr named Humain its official sponsor for the 2026-27 season, with the partnership focused on using AI for sports data analysis, technical performance improvement, and decision-making support.
Why this matters for product development professionals
Humain's 16-month trajectory demonstrates a model where infrastructure investment, AI for Product Development, and hardware design run concurrently rather than sequentially. The company launched a chat application, an enterprise platform, and two generations of AI-native computers while simultaneously building out gigawatt-scale data center capacity. For product teams, the takeaway is structural: Humain treated the underlying compute layer not as a prerequisite to be completed before product work began, but as a parallel track that informed product requirements - particularly around hybrid cloud-local processing in the Horizon line. Amin described the pace in November 2025: "We have achieved a lot in record time. Humain was launched just months ago, and today we have begun putting the Kingdom on the global map." The company's previously stated target for listings on the Saudi and New York stock exchanges extends to 2029, leaving room to build the operating track record that a public offering would require.
