Shoplazza Demonstrates AI Agents for Commerce Operations at SaaStr Conference

Shoplazza, a commerce platform for direct-to-consumer brands, showcased its AI agent system at SaaStr AI Annual 2026 in San Mateo, California on May 15. The company demonstrated how AI agents can automate storefront creation, content production, advertising, and backend operations within a single platform.

The conference drew more than 10,000 SaaS founders and operators. Shoplazza's presentation focused on replacing traditional software tools with AI systems that execute tasks rather than simply organize information.

Four Core AI Agents

Shoplazza highlighted four agents designed to handle different parts of running an online business:

  • AI Store Builder - Creates functional ecommerce stores through voice or text commands. The agent generates product pages, collections, and localized storefronts for different markets in minutes.
  • LazzaStudio - Generates product images, promotional banners, and advertising creatives without requiring photography or design work.
  • AdValet - Automates advertising campaign setup, creative generation, audience targeting, and performance monitoring across major digital platforms.
  • Athena - Handles backend operations including product management, analytics, workflow coordination, and business optimization through conversational AI.

Operations Focus

For operations teams, Athena addresses the manual work behind running a commerce business. The agent coordinates workflows across product operations, analytics, and business optimization through conversational interactions rather than requiring teams to navigate multiple interfaces.

Jeff Li, Shoplazza's founder and CEO, said: "Businesses today need more than software tools; they need intelligent systems that can execute. Our AI-native Commerce Operating System helps merchants and growth teams launch faster, automate critical workflows, and scale globally with far greater efficiency."

Shoplazza's approach reflects a broader shift in how SaaS companies are building products. Rather than automating individual tasks, the company is designing agents that coordinate across the entire commerce workflow.

The company also announced a partnership with Subotiz to handle payments, subscriptions, and compliance for its customers.
