Sport Clips Deploys 3,400 AI Agents to Handle Local Marketing at 1,800 Locations

Sport Clips Haircuts has deployed more than 3,400 AI agents across nearly 1,800 franchise locations to manage review responses, local search optimization, and customer engagement work. The chain processes over 7,000 customer reviews monthly, making manual management across distributed locations impractical.

The agents, built by SOCi, work autonomously to respond to reviews, maintain accurate business information, and improve local search visibility. Each agent is trained on Sport Clips' brand guidelines and tone while adapting to regional preferences and individual location characteristics. Store owners retain oversight and monitor feedback.

What Changed for Store Operations

The shift removes digital marketing tasks from in-store team leaders. Instead of juggling review responses and local search work alongside daily operations, teams now focus on the customer experience inside each location.

Sport Clips' Chief Marketing Officer Christina Clarke said the scaling benefit proved most valuable: "When we open or onboard a new location, there's no added complexity. We simply activate the agent, and it's up and running."

Measurable Outcomes

The deployment has eliminated manual review management across thousands of monthly interactions. Response times have improved, and the agents continuously learn to refine response quality over time. New locations activate without requiring additional headcount or operational burden.

Unlike static rule-based tools, these agents execute local marketing work independently. They monitor performance, adjust to local conditions, and maintain consistency across the franchise network.

For marketing professionals managing distributed teams, this represents a structural change in how AI for Marketing operates at scale. Rather than centralizing decisions, the approach systematizes execution across individual locations. AI Agents & Automation handle repetitive work while humans focus on strategic priorities and customer-facing operations.
