Live Commerce Platform Tilt Launches AI Tool That Creates Product Listings in Under One Second
Tilt, a live auction app for fashion and collectibles, has released Snap, an AI feature that automatically generates product listings from video during live streams. Early testing shows the tool increased sales by 47% compared to manually created listings.
The feature addresses a concrete problem sellers face. Research cited by Tilt shows marketplace sellers spend roughly 16 hours per week on administrative tasks, with individual product listings taking 8-12 minutes to create. Snap completes listings in under one second with 94.8% accuracy.
How It Works
Snap watches and listens to streams in real time. When a seller holds up an item, the system automatically generates titles, descriptions, categories, and prices. Sellers stay focused on their audience rather than pausing to input product details.
The listings created by Snap outperform manual entries. Items listed with Snap achieved a 47% increase in sell-through rate and sales efficiency. Manually created listings on the platform showed a 32% increase in the same metrics.
Real Impact for Sellers
Tom and Anna Kameleon, who sell vintage fashion and trading cards on Tilt, said Snap reduced their workload significantly. "One of us can run the whole stream now while the other runs our second account," Tom said. The time saved allowed them to launch a second channel and stream simultaneously.
Abhi Thanendran, Tilt's co-founder and CEO, said the goal was straightforward: "Live selling works best when sellers can just be themselves. Right now they're trying to run a shop and host a show at the same time."
Broader AI System
Snap is the first feature in a broader AI system Tilt is building into its platform. The company describes itself as "The World's First Agentic Live Commerce Platform," meaning AI handles operational complexity while sellers focus on connecting with buyers.
The system interprets what happens across streams in real time-speech, audience interaction, transactions, and engagement-alongside handling operational tasks. By removing the need to manage multiple tools during a broadcast, the platform aims to open live selling to a broader range of creators.
Founded in 2021 by former Revolut employees Abhi Thanendran and Neil Shah, Tilt operates across the UK, Italy, Spain, and Poland. The platform has raised $27 million from investors including Balderton Capital, TQ Ventures, Earlybird, and Seedcamp.
