Three-Quarters of Enterprise Leaders Now Treat AI as Core Operations Strategy
Enterprise leaders have moved past AI pilots. A survey of 96 operations, marketing, localization, and IT executives found that 74% now list AI strategies and automation as a top priority for 2026-a shift that reflects AI's transition from experiment to standard practice in global content operations.
The adoption is already widespread. Sixty-five percent of respondents use AI or machine-assisted translation in localization workflows. Another 69% are actively testing or have embedded AI across broader operations.
Organizations deploying AI report gains in speed, cost efficiency, and scale. These improvements stem from advances in generative AI, automated quality estimation, and large language models built specifically for translation work.
Budget Pressure Drives Operational Changes
The expansion comes amid tightening constraints. Forty percent of respondents expect localization budgets to remain flat in 2026, even as leadership demands higher output, better personalization, and faster time-to-market.
The math is straightforward: do more with less. Organizations succeeding in this environment have centralized workflows, paired AI Agents & Automation with human expertise, and built governance frameworks that allow scaling without sacrificing quality.
A Measurement Problem Emerges
One critical gap remains unaddressed: one in four organizations don't measure the business impact of multilingual content. Without metrics tied to conversion, engagement, or time-to-market outcomes, executives struggle to quantify AI's value or justify further investment.
This measurement gap becomes more pressing as AI adoption accelerates. Operations leaders who can demonstrate ROI-connecting multilingual content to business results-will have stronger cases for budget allocation and expanded AI implementation.
