Vena Group Launches AI-Ready Data Center Development Unit

Vena Global Group Pte Ltd (Vena Group) has established a new subsidiary, Vena Nexus Group Pte Ltd, focused exclusively on developing AI-ready data center infrastructure (AI-DC). This move consolidates all AI-DC-related activities, personnel, and projects previously managed by Vena Energy, the group's renewable energy division.

Vena Nexus aims to deliver hyperscale data center campuses tightly integrated with large-scale renewable energy projects. It will also develop distributed edge facilities co-located with renewable energy sites, addressing the growing demand for power-secure infrastructure essential for AI workloads across the Asia-Pacific region.

Strategic Focus on AI-Ready Infrastructure

Nitin Apte, CEO of Vena Group, highlighted the increasing demand for data centers that support traditional and AI-specific workloads. He emphasized that Vena Nexus will enable more focused execution, dedicated capital deployment, and stronger partnerships, while maintaining synergy with Vena Energy as the renewable power provider behind the digital infrastructure expansion.

Strong Development Pipeline and Expertise

Vena Nexus inherits a substantial pipeline of approximately 3 gigawatts (GW) of data center projects originated within Vena Energy. This includes over 1 GW of AI-DC projects with secured power, land, and permits. The new unit is supported by a team of 60 specialists covering data center development, digital infrastructure, commercial strategy, and investment.

Additionally, Vena Nexus benefits from Vena Group’s broader organizational resources, which include nearly 700 professionals across development, construction, and operations, as well as over 300 experts in legal, finance, ESG, procurement, and corporate functions.

Regional Footprint and Expansion Plans

Vena Group currently operates in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The company is actively expanding into Thailand, South Korea, Australia, and other Asia-Pacific markets. This geographic reach supports Vena Nexus’ objective to build AI-ready data centers that meet regional demands for secure, renewable-powered digital infrastructure.
