VibeIQ raises $22.5 million to expand AI-native product decision platform

VibeIQ has raised $22.5 million in growth financing to expand its AI-native product decision platform, which helps consumer brands determine which products to build before committing development and sourcing costs. Volition Capital led the round, with participation from existing investor Venture Guides.

The platform is designed for merchandising, design and product development teams who currently make product-line decisions across disconnected documents and workflows. VibeIQ provides a shared view of a product line that connects creative intent with commercial targets, margins, regional adoption and development status. Its embedded AI capabilities help teams identify assortment gaps, duplication and potential margin risks.

Customers including New Balance, Vera Bradley, Converse and Kizik have used the system to reduce planned SKUs, gain visibility into product decisions months earlier and eliminate thousands of hours of manual work. The platform integrates with existing product lifecycle management, planning and enterprise systems rather than replacing them.

Why this matters for product development teams

Product development professionals often face a specific problem: concepts, financial targets and design changes live in separate systems until someone makes a go-or-no-go call. By that point, the logic behind the decision is lost, and committed costs make it harder to kill a weak product. VibeIQ's approach is to preserve that context - creative intent, margin constraints, supplier lead times - as an auditable record that carries into downstream workflows.

The financing will support deeper AI capabilities, additional integrations and go-to-market expansion across consumer goods categories and retail organizations. For those working with similar challenges, a structured AI Learning Path for Product Managers can help build the skills to evaluate and implement AI-native decision tools. General resources on AI for Product Development also cover the underlying techniques behind such platforms.

Faster creation, harder decisions

The company sees generative AI making it faster and cheaper to produce product concepts and associated assets. That speed can generate more potential options without making it easier for teams to determine which concepts deserve investment. VibeIQ founder and CEO Brian Lindauer said: "AI is making product creation faster, but speed alone does not produce a better product line. Brands need shared creative and commercial context to decide what should exist, what should change, and what gets cut."

"VibeIQ helps teams make those decisions before development begins, preserve the reasoning behind them, and carry that context forward as products move toward market. This investment will allow us to deepen those capabilities and bring them to more product categories and teams."

Volition Capital's managing partner Roger Hurwitz framed the opportunity similarly: "AI is creating an opportunity to fundamentally transform how consumer brands make product decisions. VibeIQ has built a category-defining platform that gives retail teams a shared decision layer for determining what moves forward, what changes, and what gets cut before significant cost and complexity enter the process."

Why this matters for product development professionals

If your team uses spreadsheets, email chains, or physical meetings to decide whether a product concept gets funded, you lose the reasoning behind those decisions. VibeIQ treats that reasoning as a product reductive - something that, part of. The direct takeaway: the discipline of preserving decision context is not just good process. in the era of generative AI, where any team can produce hundreds of sketches overnight, the ability to filter quickly and explain the filter is becoming a competitive advantage. The $22.5 million funding suggests investors see a similar trajectory across apparel, footwear, and private-label retail.
