Zain KSA Establishes AI Center to Embed Artificial Intelligence Across Operations
Zain KSA, Saudi Arabia's leading digital services provider, launched an AI Center of Excellence on June 5 to systematically deploy artificial intelligence across its operations and extend AI capabilities to enterprise and government customers across the Kingdom.
The center marks the company's shift toward an AI-first operating model, aligned with Saudi Arabia's designation of 2026 as the Year of AI.
What the Center Will Do
The AI CoE operates across three functions: embedding AI within Zain KSA's internal operations to improve decision-making and performance, providing scalable AI solutions to external enterprise and government clients, and coordinating with global partners and local stakeholders to ensure consistent deployment.
Specific operational areas include customer care, commercial management, and network operations. The center will focus on enhancing efficiency, improving customer experience, and supporting data-driven decisions across these functions.
Governance and Regulatory Alignment
The initiative includes a dedicated governance framework designed to ensure AI deployment complies with Saudi Arabia's National Strategy for Data and Artificial Intelligence and ICT sector regulations.
Saad bin Abdulrahman AlSadhan, CEO of Zain KSA, said the center allows the company to move "from experimentation to disciplined execution" while focusing on measurable value for all stakeholders.
Broader Context
The AI CoE builds on Zain Group's broader "4WARD-Progress with Purpose" AI strategy, which uses shared platforms and partnerships to accelerate deployment while tailoring solutions to Saudi Arabia's regulatory environment.
