ZFunds launches AI tool for wealth managers to cut administrative work

ZFunds has released ZIVA, an AI assistant designed to help mutual fund distributors and wealth managers handle research, portfolio analysis, client communication, and administrative tasks. The company claims the tool can reduce distributor workload by up to 60 percent.

ZIVA combines several functions into one platform. Distributors can conduct mock client meetings, generate portfolio recommendations, access real-time market data, and record and transcribe client calls with automated summaries that flag action items.

The platform pulls research from authorised sources and structures it for advisory work, including goal-based portfolio construction and quick portfolio reviews. It also generates client-facing messages and marketing content for digital channels.

Pilot results and language support

During a pilot involving 500 partners, users generated over 5,000 client-ready proposals and conducted around 9,000 minutes of mock meetings. ZFunds said internal data showed the tool could cut workload significantly, particularly in portfolio analysis and client servicing.

ZIVA accepts text and voice input in Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, and Telugu, making it accessible across India's wealth management sector.

What this means for your role

If you manage wealth advisors or distributors, ZIVA addresses a persistent operational challenge: the time spent on routine analysis and client communication. The 60 percent workload reduction claim warrants scrutiny-results will depend on how your team currently works-but the underlying capability is straightforward. Advisors spend less time on proposal generation and meeting documentation, more time on client strategy.

The tool launched at the ZFunds Founders Summit 2026 in Gurugram and is rolling out to platform users. ZFunds co-founder Manish Kothari said the goal is to support distributors with tools that address daily operational needs while improving client servicing efficiency.

India's wealth management sector continues to adopt technology-driven advisory models alongside traditional distributor-led approaches. Distributors remain relevant for investor engagement and behavioral guidance, but their workflow is changing.
