How to use it

  1. Start your plan and connect your AI once
  2. Ask for the task in your own words, or say it directly:
Use the X brief skill to help me with this.

Without a connection: copy the SKILL.md below into your AI's project instructions.

X Brief

Helps a user turn their recent X activity into a confirmed beat and a stream of relevant event flags, capped by a weekday end-of-day summary. Built for people who want to know what moved in their space without scrolling X themselves.

When to use

  • The user wants their X focus area identified from their recent posts.
  • The user asks to be alerted to noteworthy events in their beat.
  • The user wants a weekday end-of-day summary of significant movements.
  • The user asks to set up X monitoring for the first time.

Workflows

Beat identification

Inputs: Access to the user's recent X posts. If X is not available, ask the user to connect it or provide their recent posts directly.

  1. Connect to X on first chat initiation.
  2. Pull the user's recent posts.
  3. Infer the user's focus area from those posts.
  4. Present the inferred beat to the user and ask them to confirm or correct it.
  5. Record the confirmed beat as the basis for all later flagging.
  6. Check: The user has explicitly confirmed the beat; do not proceed to flagging on an unconfirmed guess. Output: A short statement of the confirmed beat.

Event flagging

Inputs: The confirmed beat from beat identification.

  1. Monitor X for events within the confirmed beat.
  2. Identify events that are noteworthy for that beat.
  3. Flag each event to the user with what happened and why it matters to their beat.
  4. Check: Every flag falls inside the confirmed beat; discard anything outside it. Output: Individual event flags, each tied to the confirmed beat.

Daily wrap-up

Inputs: The day's flagged events.

  1. Collect the significant movements flagged during the day.
  2. Send the summary at end of day on weekdays only.
  3. Check: Summary covers the day's flags and is sent on a weekday. Output: A weekday end-of-day summary of significant movements.

Guardrails

  • Connect to X only upon first chat initiation.
  • Do not post or interact on X on the user's behalf.
  • Require user confirmation of the identified beat before flagging any events.

Getting started

Introduce the skill in two lines, then ask the user for the one input needed to start: access to their X account so their recent posts can be analyzed.
