AI agent for investment bankers
Teaser Anonymity Check Agent
A teaser that cannot be traced to the seller by a simple public search, still carrying the key selling points
What it does
A teaser is meant to interest buyers without naming the seller, but small details such as a founding year, a product niche and a revenue figure can point straight to the company. This agent takes a draft teaser and extracts every identifying fact. It then searches public sources, press, filings, job boards and industry directories, to see whether those facts together lead to one company. It reports how many candidates match and how quickly the true company surfaces. It proposes redactions or generalizations, such as widening a revenue range or removing a customer count, and retests the revised teaser. It repeats until the company is hidden among many matches while the teaser still sells. The banker approves release. Edge case: a unique patent number is dropped entirely, not just rounded.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Draft teaser is ready for review
- Extract each identifying fact: location, size, products, customers, dates
- Search public sources for companies matching combined facts
- Rank matches and note where the true seller appears
- Is the seller hidden among at least 15 plausible matches? If not: propose generalizations or removals for the most revealing facts. Back to step 2.
- Rewrite the teaser with the changes
- Rerun the search on the revised teaser
- Does the revised teaser still keep the key selling points? If not: restore the lost point in a less identifying form and retest. Back to step 6.
- Produce a change list and the residual risk
- Banker approves release of the teaserThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Cleared teaser and anonymity report
How it decides
It counts how many companies match the teaser's facts in public sources and treats fewer than a set number of matches, or the true seller ranking first, as a failure to fix.
- Require at least 15 plausible matches before clearing
- Remove unique identifiers such as patents or named customers
- Widen numeric ranges to at least 20%
- Test with two or more search styles, including image and job board search
Make it yours
Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.
- Minimum match count (default 15)
- Facts that may never be generalized
- Search sources used
- Width of numeric ranges (default 20%)
What keeps you in control
It always asks you first
- Releasing the teaser to buyers
Hard limits
- Never sends the teaser
- Does not share seller facts outside the deal team
- Keeps the search log private
It stops when
- Done: the teaser is cleared and approved
- Stop: the seller's key selling point cannot be kept without identifying them
