Run a free startup protection check on your project and get clone risk, defensibility and patentable features.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Can competitors clone my SaaS idea?”, the FITTIN MCP server connects it to FITTIN, and you get back protection report.

FITTIN is a helper that looks at your project and tells you how easy it would be for someone else to copy it. It also points out the parts that might be protectable. It is handy for founders and builders who want a quick read on their protection before they launch or pitch.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. This one connects your AI to FITTIN, a startup protection platform. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to run a protection check and it will talk to FITTIN for you.

What this MCP server does

You describe your project to your AI in plain words. Your AI passes that description to this helper, which sends it to FITTIN. FITTIN looks at the idea and works out how exposed you are to copying and which parts might be protectable. A couple of minutes later you get a report back in your chat and by email.

What you can do with it

  • Run a free startup protection check on your project
  • See a clone risk score for your product
  • Get a defensibility map of your stack or workflow
  • Find features that might be patentable
  • Check whether your space looks open or crowded
  • Get a PDF and DOCX report by email
  • Order a full IP portfolio package for $99

Try asking your AI

  • “Run a startup protection check on this project”
  • “Can competitors clone this SaaS?”
  • “How do I protect this startup before launch?”
  • “What parts of this workflow are defensible?”

What it gives back to you

You get a short analysis in the chat: a clone risk score, a list of parts that are hard to copy, and features that might be protectable. It also tells you whether the space looks open or crowded. A fuller PDF and DOCX report lands in your inbox in about two minutes.

Before you start

What you need

  • Python installed on your computer
  • The fittin-mcp package (installed with pip)
  • Your email address, so the report can be sent to you
  • Cursor or Claude Desktop with MCP support

Good to know

The $99 report costs real money, and FITTIN is not a law firm, so treat its output as guidance and talk to a licensed patent attorney before filing anything.
