Raw School Returns With Focus on Human Creativity Amid AI Disruption
The 4As Creative Guild of the Philippines is relaunching Raw School, a training program for Filipino creatives under 30, starting April 29. The six-week course emphasizes developing creative instinct and mental well-being alongside technical skills as artificial intelligence reshapes the industry.
Raw School has produced advertising and marketing leaders including Nikki Sunga (BBDO), Jasper Ilagan (NJYN Hakuhodo), and Kulas Abrenilla (PJB) over two decades. The 2026 cohort will be led by Jordan Santos (Publicis JimenezBasic), Andi Olbés (BBDO), and Nikko Borromeo (Dentsu Creative).
Weekly Classes Feature Industry Leaders
Classes meet every Wednesday and cover topics designed to develop taste and sharpen creative judgment. Speakers include industry figures Leigh Reyes and David Guerrero, alongside artists Red Ollero, Macoy Dubs, Issa Villaverde, Paolo Villaluna, and Marius Talampas.
Enrollees attend in person and work on group projects. Perfect attendance earns rewards including iPads and delegate passes to the 2026 Kidlat CreativeFest.
Program Philosophy: Human Creativity First
The curriculum operates on the principle that human creativity remains primary over AI tools. Santos said the creative community was "not just ready, but raring for this highly popular Industry staple to return."
Six venue sponsors agreed to host classes: Provill, Arcade Film Factory, Soundesign Manila, Publicis Groupe Philippines, Dentsu Creative, and IdeasXMachina.
Registration and Pricing
The program is open to Filipino creatives aged 30 or younger, including employed professionals, freelancers, and students.
- Full package: PHP 5,000 for all six classes (register by April 28)
- Per class: PHP 1,000 (register up to 24 hours prior)
- Non-4As members: PHP 8,000 for full package or PHP 2,000 per class
