The American Chamber of Commerce in Kuwait (AmCham Kuwait), in partnership with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), hosted the third Future of AI Forum on May 22nd at the KFAS headquarters. The event gathered senior executives, policymakers, legal experts, and technology leaders to discuss practical AI applications in Kuwait’s legal and logistics sectors, aligning with Kuwait Vision 2035 and the upcoming National AI Strategy.

SAP supported the forum as the Gold Sponsor, with Al-Tamimi & Company as Silver Sponsor. The focus was on integrating generative and agentic AI into critical infrastructure and regulatory frameworks to promote efficiency and innovation.

AI in Logistics: Streamlining Supply Chains and Port Operations

The opening panel, “Smarter Supply Chains: From Generative Planning to Agentic Execution,” addressed AI solutions for challenges in shipping, customs, and port management. Moderated by Naeem Mirza, CEO of AI Doctrine, the panel included key figures such as H.E. Sheikh Fahad Khaled Al-Sabah from Kuwait Ports Authority and industry leaders from SAP, GAC Kuwait, and DHL Express Kuwait.

Panelists highlighted AI’s ability to improve predictive forecasting and real-time analytics, which helps prevent port congestion and accelerates customs procedures. Initiatives by Kuwait Ports Authority to digitize operations demonstrated tangible reductions in logistical delays. Collaboration between public and private sectors was emphasized as critical to building a flexible, sustainable logistics network.

Sundus Bushahri, Managing Director of SAP Kuwait, stated, “AI is a present-day driver of transformation. In logistics, it speeds customs clearance, enhances fleet management, and improves coordination across ports and borders. Working together, we can develop intelligent systems that boost efficiency and economic growth.”

AI in Law: Innovating Legal Processes and Judicial Systems

The second panel, “Law, Liability & Logic: Agentic AI in Kuwait’s Legal System,” discussed AI’s role in modernizing legal research, contract review, compliance, and court procedures. Discussions focused on AI-powered digital courtrooms and tools that reduce administrative burdens, improve access to justice, and lower costs. Panelists called for clear legal frameworks addressing AI accountability and ethical standards, aligning with the draft Kuwait National AI Strategy 2025-2028 by the Central Agency for Information Technology.

Interactive Engagement and Future Commitments

Both panels incorporated live polling and Q&A sessions, enabling participants to discuss sector-specific AI adoption challenges and data governance.
