Aimotion and Google Cloud expand AI auto marketing system

Aimotion has partnered with Google Cloud to build an AI-driven marketing platform for automakers, automating lead generation and customer acquisition across social media channels. The company presented the initiative at Google's Asia-Pacific headquarters this week.

The platform addresses a specific problem: automakers expanding globally struggle with content localization, fragmented social media audiences, and tracking conversions across multiple channels. These gaps slow customer acquisition for high-value purchases with long decision cycles.

Three AI agents handle different marketing tasks

The system uses three specialized AI agents to automate different parts of the marketing funnel.

  • A Creative Production Agent generates short-form video and livestream content for distribution across social platforms.
  • A Growth Agent automates customer messaging, responding to inquiries and booking showroom appointments.
  • A Data Intelligence Agent monitors campaign performance and conversion metrics in real time.

The platform integrates Aimotion's proprietary data-including millions of car buyer personas and tens of thousands of visual assets-into automakers' existing workflows.

Measurable efficiency gains

Aimotion said the platform reduces automotive marketing video production from four hours to 10 minutes. This translates to a 30-fold increase in operational efficiency for dealerships.

The company also built an automated quality inspection system using Google Cloud's multimodal AI to catch factual errors and hallucinations in generated content. Compared with general-purpose AI models, factual error rates dropped 21 percent while maintaining a 93 percent usable content output rate.

Hongyu Zhang, Aimotion's chief executive, said the results demonstrate why general foundation models alone aren't sufficient for enterprise marketing. "Possessing industry-specific vertical data is imperative," Zhang said.

The partnership provides automakers with a framework for adopting AI in customer acquisition and operational efficiency-two priorities as the automotive industry faces pressure to scale digital marketing globally.
