AITX outlined a product development roadmap on July 27, 2026, that targets six hardware releases and nine software initiatives across the coming months. For product professionals, the plan reveals how an AI company sequences physical device launches with platform and analytics upgrades - and the constraints that make precise forecasting difficult.
Hardware and software targets
The hardware side includes six releases, some of which are new products and others advancements to existing RAD platforms. AITX is not naming the projects, citing competitive reasons. On the software side, the nine initiatives span several functional areas. The company broke them into categories, though several categories contain more than one distinct effort.

The list is intended as a high-level snapshot of development work, not a formal product announcement or a commercial availability commitment. "Every initiative included in this roadmap is currently under active development," said Steve Reinharz, AITX's CEO, CTO and founder. "Each has been in development for a period of months and, in several cases, longer."
Release cadence and overlapping windows
AITX expects to begin announcing and shipping software in August 2026. September and October are projected as the busiest combined window for software, with hardware releases also starting in that period. November is currently targeted as the most active month for hardware releases, while software activity should continue through December. One additional hardware release is eyed for February 2027.
The development windows overlap, and individual projects may shift between months as testing and integration work continues. The company said it will share more details on each product or initiative once scope, timing, and positioning are finalized.
Why management won't guarantee a date
Reinharz was direct about the limits of the roadmap. "That confidence should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every project will be released in its currently targeted month," he said. "Product development, testing, manufacturing, supply-chain considerations, technical integration, partner coordination, financing and changing business priorities can all affect scope and timing. These are management's current targets, not promises."
The roadmap contains projects at different stages, and the company can't assure that all six hardware pieces or all nine software efforts will launch commercially within the stated windows - or at all.
AI-generated update frees up internal time
In a video accompanying the announcement, Reinharz presented the update using a disclosed AI-generated likeness and voice. He noted that a traditional weekly video can take about two hours to set up, record, and complete.
