Aline expands AI across its senior living platform to automate sales, clinical, and operational workflows

Aline is building AI into the core of its senior living platform, used by more than 9,000 communities, rather than offering it as an add-on. New tools guide daily sales calls, speed referral intake, and assist care documentation.

Aline Embeds AI Throughout Senior Living Platform, Not Just on Top

Aline, a software platform serving more than 9,000 senior living communities, said it is accelerating investment in AI by building intelligence into the foundation of its products rather than adding it as a separate feature.

The Louisville-based company announced the expansion of Aline Intelligence across its full platform on April 23. CEO Brandon Logsdon said the difference between this approach and competitors is architectural: "Every product in our platform gets smarter over time because intelligence is woven through the foundation, not bolted on top."

AI in Development and Operations

Aline has embedded AI into how its engineering teams build software. The company uses AI to support requirements development, code review, quality assurance, and release workflows. Internally, AI-powered systems handle implementation planning, support triage, and customer success operations, reducing manual work between teams.

The practical result is faster product releases and quicker time to value for customers.

Sales Platform Shifts to Recommendations

Aline CRM, the company's flagship sales product, has evolved from a traditional system of record into what it calls a System of Recommendation. Rather than logging past activity, the platform now guides what sales counselors should do next.

A feature called Daily Lineup, launching this summer, will open each morning with a ranked list of prospects a counselor should contact that day, along with recommended next steps for each one. Logsdon said: "A counselor will start their day and see a ranked list. Not all their leads. The three they should call today, and why."

Aline Connect, another component, places an automated follow-up call within minutes of a new inquiry, seven days a week. If a prospect answers, the system transfers the call to a sales counselor as a live connection. If not, a personalized text follows automatically. The system can continue follow-up attempts over as long as 90 days, filtering out non-opportunities before they reach the sales team.

Every call is recorded, transcribed, and logged in Aline CRM without manual data entry.

Aline is also previewing Clara, a prospect assistant that helps counselors draft outreach, prepare for calls, and organize prospect information. Clara does not automatically take actions in the CRM, keeping sales teams in control of every interaction.

AI Across the Resident Lifecycle

Aline Intelligence extends beyond sales. Aline Care now uses AI-assisted documentation for state forms. Aline Menus by Grove surfaces recommended and trending recipes to help culinary teams plan with less manual effort. In skilled nursing, Aline Smart Referral CRM evaluates incoming hospital referrals in real time, compressing intake decisions from 30 minutes to under four minutes.

Transparency and Data Safeguards

Aline structures AI development through three stages: Labs, Preview, and General Availability. This gives operators visibility into which capabilities are production-ready, which are being refined, and which are being piloted with select partners.

All AI models are HIPAA-compliant and built on enterprise infrastructure through Microsoft's Trust Center. Every AI-generated output-whether a drafted email, care note, or recommended action-requires human review before it is sent or recorded.

Customer data is never used to train shared AI models. All AI processing remains within each operator's secure environment. As operators use the platform, Aline Intelligence refines its recommendations based on how each team works, and automated communications can be tuned to match a community's voice.

Logsdon said: "We are also honest about where things are in development. Some capabilities are live across the platform today. Others are being refined with select partners. We believe that transparency matters, and it is how we build trust with the operators who depend on us."

Aline will demonstrate these capabilities at the 2026 Aline Innovation Summit, May 11 to 13, in Frisco, Texas. Registration is open at alineops.com/events/aline-innovation-summit.

For product development teams considering how to build AI into their own platforms, understanding the difference between feature-level integration and foundational architecture is critical. AI for Product Development and AI Agents & Automation offer frameworks for making these decisions.
