BlueFocus Breaks RMB 60 Billion Barrier with Bold AI Transformation and Global Expansion Plans

BlueFocus 2024 Annual Report Highlights

BlueFocus has announced its 2024 Annual Report, reporting a total revenue of RMB 60.797 billion, a 15.55% increase compared to last year. This milestone makes BlueFocus the first marketing company in China to exceed RMB 60 billion in revenue.

A Letter to Investors

Marking 15 years since its public listing and approaching its 30th founding anniversary, BlueFocus reflects on its growth from a local company to one of the world’s top ten Marketing and Communications Groups. This progress is credited to consistent support and trust from its investors and partners.

The marketing industry in China has surpassed RMB 1 trillion in scale, matching the size of the global outbound market. Both markets are on the edge of a significant change driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

BlueFocus envisions transforming into a genuine AI-powered Marketing Technology company. This means moving beyond traditional marketing models to embrace AI at its core, aiming to build a global brand rooted in China with a target scale of RMB 100 billion. The company is pursuing this vision with clear intent and strategic focus.

Current Position and Outlook

What is the Real Value Behind BlueFocus's All in AI Strategy?

While many claim to be "All in AI," BlueFocus has integrated AI into over 95% of its operations, driving efficiency improvements from 60% to as much as 1000% in areas like integrated marketing, intelligent advertising, and global outbound business.

The focus goes beyond cost reduction. BlueFocus is restructuring its business through an "AI Native" approach—redefining scenarios, inventing new business models, reshaping talent structures, and rebuilding organizational culture.

Currently, BlueFocus generates nearly 80,000 AI-created content pieces weekly, including data analysis, text, images, video, and code. Their AI tools support around 600 clients, with over 1,500 AI-driven projects executed in the past year. AI-enabled revenue has grown over tenfold, reaching RMB 1.2 billion, with a goal of RMB 3 to 5 billion by 2025.

BlueFocus relies on a self-developed AI platform, BlueAI, which supports more than half of its project cases worldwide. The platform is designed specifically for marketing and is backed by around 100 AI agents that enhance capabilities. The company is building a data flywheel powered by labeled data, content creation, delivery, and deep learning, aiming for BlueAI to become the industry’s leading AI marketing model.

By the end of 2024, BlueFocus expects to label over 200 million data records and handle API token usage in the hundreds of billions, leveraging extensive operational and media data to build "emergent intelligence" capabilities.

Organizationally, AI is now embedded in recruitment, promotion, and incentives. The motto “No AI, No Bonus, No Promotion” guides decision-making. BlueFocus employs nearly 300 product and technology professionals and 200 AI Native talents, forming the backbone of its AI-driven innovation and competitive edge.

How Should BlueFocus Respond to Challenges in Its Global Outbound Business?

Trade tensions present challenges, but BlueFocus views them as opportunities. Clients are diversifying markets, expanding into Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Though volatility exists, it opens doors for agile players.

BlueFocus remains optimistic about global e-commerce and its outbound business growth in 2025. In 2024, it launched Global Outbound Business 2.0, shifting from traditional agency models to technology- and AI-driven localized operations. This strategy focuses on proprietary traffic development and building competitive infrastructure.

The outbound team has built a client base nearing 100,000, with increasing marketing budgets and diverse needs. This signals strong potential for partners offering new capabilities to capture emerging budget streams.

Recognizing high resource and information barriers in different regions, BlueFocus is investing in local offices to strengthen presence and responsiveness. Combining AI strategy and Globalization 2.0, the company aims to access new quality markets and surpass traditional marketing valuation limits.

BlueFocus is positioning itself as a Marketing Technology company grounded in technology and driven by a global vision. Its goal is to serve as a leading example from China in the evolution of global marketing.
