Canary Technologies unveils AI sales coordinator and expands digital guest access

Canary Technologies introduced an AI-powered Agentic Sales Coordinator this week that handles hotel group and event sales inquiries from start to finish, aiming to shorten response times and reduce missed leads. The tool autonomously qualifies inbound requests, triages them, and manages administrative workflow, freeing sales teams to focus on high-value client relationships.

The new product extends Canary's broader AI platform, which also includes AI Voice, AI Contracts, AI Webchat, and AI Guest Messaging. Company executives describe the platform as core infrastructure for commercial operations, with the coordinator moving the industry closer to live AI deployment rather than experimentation. Canary plans to showcase the tool at the HSMAI Commercial Strategy Conference and HITEC 2026 in San Antonio, targeting its base of over 20,000 hotels in more than 100 countries.

Automating the sales funnel

The Agentic Sales Coordinator manages the full inquiry-to-booking cycle. It qualifies leads automatically, triages real-time requests, and performs administrative tasks that would otherwise fall to staff. By qualifying leads and handling routine workflows, the coordinator performs the kind of AI for Sales automation that helps sales managers grow group business without adding headcount. Hotels can then direct their salespeople toward relationship-building and strategic deals rather than inbox management.

AI suite and market momentum

The agent joins Canary's existing AI suite, which includes AI Voice, AI Contracts, AI Webchat, and AI Guest Messaging. Co-founder and President Satjot Sawhney said the hotel industry has moved from AI experimentation to live deployment, and early adopters are reporting faster guest service and measurable non-room revenue growth. These gains are creating a performance gap with hotels that delay adoption, underscoring the growing use of AI for Hospitality & Events across operations.

Canary also highlighted recent wins, including a rollout at HEI Hotels & Resorts, which operates multiple brands. Deeper integrations with chains like Marriott, Four Seasons, and Wyndham are in progress, building on the company's existing 20,000-property footprint.

Digital keys and mobile access

The company continues to expand its digital access capabilities as a credential manager for dormakaba Mobile Access Solutions, which integrate with Apple Wallet. Its Mobile Keys solution enables a fully digital, contactless guest journey and cuts the internal resource drain of physical key management. Combined with the AI sales tools, Canary is positioning digital access and revenue automation under one roof.

Why this matters for hospitality and events professionals

For group and event sales managers, the Agentic Sales Coordinator directly addresses two persistent pain points: slow inquiry response and lead leakage. Faster, automated triage can improve conversion rates, and shifting administrative labor to AI lets experienced salespeople spend more time on high-touch negotiations and site visits. Hotel technology leaders can also see a clearer path to increasing software utilization per property and capturing more non-room revenue through integrated AI and mobile access platforms.
