Featured Revives Connectively, Launches AI Co-Pilot for PR
Featured is relaunching as an AI co-pilot for public relations on June 2, moving its core platform to Connectively, a brand the company acquired a year ago. The shift consolidates Featured's 100,000 users and existing workflows onto a single platform while the parent company transitions to a chat-based AI interface for PR professionals.
All customer data, media opportunities, profiles, and subscriptions move to Connectively. Only the name, logo, and URL change. HARO, Featured's other PR product, remains as a standalone option for professionals who prefer a request-based workflow.
What Connectively Does
Connectively connects subject matter experts with publishers. Over four and a half years, the platform has matched experts with journalists at a rate of one connection every six seconds and helps 2,500 publishers source expert-written articles to fill content gaps.
Featured founder and CEO Brett Farmiloe said the platform's existing user experience "deserves to be preserved as Featured evolves into the AI co-pilot for PR."
Featured's New Direction
The relaunched Featured platform adds AI-driven workflows on top of Connectively's infrastructure. The new interface uses a chat format to help PR professionals find opportunities across journalist requests, podcasts, bylined articles, speaking engagements, awards, and generative engine optimization (GEO).
The tool aims to automate three core tasks: surfacing relevant opportunities, drafting responses, and closing coverage deals.
Two Products, One Company
Featured acquired both HARO and Connectively a year ago. HARO, which launched as an email-based journalist request service, went dormant before Featured revived it. The company now sees Connectively following the same path - a brand with existing user base and market recognition worth activating again.
PR professionals can choose which product fits their workflow. HARO remains email-centric; Connectively operates as a platform with integrated tools.
