Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur Adds AI Tools for Events and Meetings
Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur is introducing a suite of AI technologies designed to streamline meetings, events, and weddings. The hotel offers these tools as optional add-ons rather than mandatory features, positioning them as enhancements to human service rather than replacements.
The system includes real-time translation across 40+ languages, an AI hologram emcee for opening remarks and speaker introductions, and automated video editing that produces highlight reels within minutes of an event's end. A virtual concierge handles check-in and provides event details to attendees.
Nelson Hilton, Regional Commercial Director at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, said the technologies aim to "simplify, remove friction, enhance engagement" while keeping guests at the center of the experience.
How the Tools Work
Real-time translation: Available on personal devices and LED displays, the system translates across major languages and can integrate industry-specific glossaries. Select events can use AI-enabled glasses that display translations directly in the wearer's field of vision.
AI Hologram Emcee: A lifelike avatar delivers multilingual messages in customized tones. The hotel says it's the first luxury property in Kuala Lumpur to offer this feature.
Automated video production: Multi-camera tracking captures moments and generates edited highlight reels ready for social sharing the same day.
Virtual showcase: A 360-degree immersive experience delivered through VR headsets, guided by a lifelike avatar with interactive elements.
Check-in assistant: An AI system handles self check-in and seat allocation while providing event agendas and speaker information. Organizers receive post-event summaries.
Practical Impact
For large-scale or multilingual events, the tools reduce logistical friction. A regional summit or cross-cultural wedding can operate more smoothly when language translation happens automatically and attendees receive consistent information at arrival.
The hotel's event team remains responsible for traditional planning-menus, florals, music, and personalized service. The AI handles information flow and documentation rather than creative decisions.
