The event offers a platform to connect experts from both countries and promote AI innovation in healthcare.

Israel’s Position in AI-Powered Healthcare

Israel ranks among the global leaders in artificial intelligence, with approximately 2,200 specialized AI companies—almost triple the number from a decade ago. Digital healthcare is a standout sector, with 58% of HealthTech firms integrating AI into their products.

AI applications in Israeli healthcare include:

  • Medical imaging & assisted diagnosis: Algorithms that support early detection of diseases.
  • Drug discovery & development: Predictive models that speed up therapy creation.
  • Personalized medicine: Using large medical datasets to customize treatments.
  • Preventive healthcare & telemedicine: AI tools that improve risk assessment and access to care.

A Strong and Growing Ecosystem

In 2023, Israeli AI startups attracted $3.9 billion in funding, showing notable growth and resilience compared to other sectors. AI-focused ventures account for 47% of total startup investments in Israel, underscoring the strategic importance of this field.

One of Israel’s key advantages is its extensive digitized medical records, covering three decades and a population of 9 million. This wealth of data has supported the founding of healthcare AI startups and keeps Israel at the forefront of medical data use and healthcare innovation.

Boosting France-Israel Cooperation in AI & Healthcare

This event aims to:

  • Encourage collaboration between French and Israeli healthcare AI experts.
  • Discuss funding opportunities via Horizon Europe and bilateral partnerships.
  • Highlight innovations from both countries and their potential impact on medicine.
