AI Set to Improve Nigeria’s Legal System, Says Expert
On May 16, 2025, technology specialist Agbo Obinnaya highlighted how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can enhance Nigeria’s legal sector. He stressed that AI-driven tools will tackle persistent challenges, including court delays and limited access to legal services.
Obinnaya, CEO of Case Radar AI, shared his views during a statement in Kaduna. He explained that a generative AI platform for legal matters is being developed to bridge gaps in accessibility and streamline legal processes.
Addressing Accessibility and Court Delays
According to Obinnaya, the difficulties in Nigeria’s courts extend beyond slow case resolutions. Many people struggle to connect with lawyers or obtain clear legal information. The AI platform aims to make legal resources and professional advice more reachable to all, regardless of financial means.
“When you can afford a lawyer, you’re protected. When you can’t, you’re vulnerable,” Obinnaya said. “Our goal is to create a system where everyone can easily find legal assistance, access documents, and understand their rights.”
Empowering Young Professionals Through Visibility
Obinnaya also mentioned a recent event held by Case Radar AI, which brought together legal and tech experts to discuss AI’s role in African legal practice. At this event, 110 young professionals received free professional headshots to help them build confidence and improve their corporate presence.
The initiative stems from the belief that visibility matters. A professional headshot can be a simple yet powerful step toward greater opportunities for young creatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals across Africa.
“Sometimes, that journey begins with one image that says you belong,” Obinnaya added.
- Improved access to legal services through AI platforms
- Support for young professionals with career-building initiatives
- Efforts to reduce vulnerabilities caused by lack of legal representation
