OpenLens Launches AI Visibility Platform for Marketing Agencies

OpenLens has launched a platform that tracks where brand content appears across AI systems like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and DeepSeek. More than 35 marketing agencies already use it to monitor AI visibility for hundreds of clients across healthcare, legal, financial services, and B2B SaaS.

The timing reflects a fundamental shift in how people find information. Google AI Overviews now reach 2 billion monthly users, and ChatGPT reaches 900 million weekly active users. When an AI summary appears in Google search results, organic click-through rates drop by 61%, according to Pew Research. Desktop searches per user fell nearly 20% year-over-year between 2024 and 2025-the first sustained decline since Google's founding.

The Market Gap

About 24 tools now track AI visibility, most charging $400 to $3,000 monthly. The dominant ones were built by SEO companies that bolted AI tracking onto existing rank-monitoring products. They focus on keywords and top-level domain visibility, not the source-level data agencies need to act.

OpenLens takes a different approach. Founders Cameron Witkowski and Aman Bhargava are AI researchers with published work on language model behavior and prompting. They built the platform from the model side rather than the keyword side.

What the Platform Does

OpenLens runs hundreds of brand-relevant prompts across the four major AI platforms. Agencies see competitive comparisons-which specific queries competitors win and why, not just isolated visibility scores.

The platform shows source-level granularity: which specific URLs, articles, and threads AI models cite when discussing a brand. Agencies can see exactly which pages need fixing rather than guessing at top-level domain performance.

Custom prompts run at scale across location-specific or category-specific queries for multiple clients in one workflow. Historical tracking shows visibility trends over time so agencies can measure whether their work is moving the needle.

OpenLens is free to start. A premium tier launches in May 2026, designed for agencies managing many clients simultaneously.

For AI for Marketing professionals managing client visibility across multiple platforms, the ability to track source-level citations and competitive positioning addresses a gap that traditional SEO tools don't cover.
