Radisson Hotel Group, working with Accenture, launched an AI-powered hotel discovery app inside ChatGPT on July 28, 2026. The app, available as @RadissonHotels, lets travelers search across more than 1,000 properties in over 100 countries through natural conversation, moving from trip intent to a shortlist of live inventory and rates. This launch marks a deliberate push into agentic commerce - a shift where AI-driven conversations replace traditional channel-based booking journeys.
How the app works
Travelers start a new ChatGPT conversation with @RadissonHotels and ask for recommendations in plain language. A request for a family-friendly weekend in Amsterdam or a hotel near the Eiffel Tower with a gym and spa returns relevant properties with live rates, location context, amenities, and interactive map results. When ready to book, the guest is directed to the Radisson Hotels website to complete the reservation. This conversational approach is designed to compress the search-and-compare process into a single, natural flow.
The app draws on structured hotel content and inventory data, which Accenture helped optimise for AI discovery through its AI Merchant Center. For those in hospitality learning to navigate these new tools, ChatGPT Courses & Certifications provide practical grounding in the technology powering such experiences.
The shift to agentic commerce
Radisson's move reflects a broader change in traveler behavior. Accenture's Consumer Pulse Research found that 87% of travellers are open to using an AI-powered travel agent, and 71% say at least half of their hotel and airline spend will be influenced by AI in the next 12 months. Radisson is already seeing organic and direct web traffic - the traditional drivers of online bookings - giving way to new touchpoints like ChatGPT.
"AI is radically transforming how people search for and book hotel stays, and we are committed to being at the forefront of this shift," said Gianni Di Fede, chief commercial officer, Radisson Hotel Group. "With Accenture, we are reimagining hotel discovery for the next generation of travellers-meeting guests in the planning moment with a branded experience that makes it easier to find, compare, and book Radisson Hotels properties."
Technology and future plans
The collaboration began with Radisson using an MCP accelerator within Accenture's AI Merchant Center, a platform that structures and validates how hotel content, rates, and booking signals are monitored for AI-led discovery. The app connects directly to Radisson's existing systems, delivering real-time hotel information that helps travelers move from a broad idea to a relevant shortlist quickly.
"Agentic commerce is fundamentally changing how people discover and choose brands. As journeys become more conversational and intent-driven, companies have to rethink how they show up - not just to be found, but to be chosen, and to deliver value in that moment," said Ndidi Oteh, CEO of Accenture Song. "Radisson Hotel Group is taking a step in that direction, creating a more direct and meaningful way to connect with travellers when decisions are being made."
Over time, the companies plan to expand the experience to include deeper personalisation, loyalty recognition, in-chat booking, reservation management, trip modification, and AI concierge capabilities. The app is part of Radisson's broader digital transformation and direct booking strategy, which unites its brands on a single global platform.
Why this matters for Hospitality and Events
For hotel and event professionals, Radisson's launch signals that conversational AI is becoming a primary discovery channel, not a side experiment. The data shows that travelers are ready to let AI influence their decisions, and the first brands to structure their inventory and content for natural-language search will capture that intent at the moment of planning. AI for Hospitality & Events training helps professionals adapt to this shift, ensuring that property information, rates, and availability are accurate and actionable across AI interfaces. As more bookings originate from platforms like ChatGPT, the ability to show up with relevant, real-time information in a conversational flow will separate the visible from the invisible.
