Seoul-based RebuilderAI unveiled VRING:ON, a brand-exclusive AI agent that automates 3D CAD design and manufacturing data generation, at VivaTech 2026 in Paris on June 17. The system recreated a heritage brand's archived design and brought it to life on a humanoid robot during a stage performance, signaling the tool's ability to turn legacy concepts into physically producible products.
How VRING:ON automates design-to-manufacturing
VRING:ON handles the core stages of product development, from design concept through 3D modelling to the generation of CAD and engineering data. It is built for 3D-based hardline products such as eyewear, footwear and jewelry. Rather than stopping at image generation, the AI carries a design through 3D modelling, CAD design, mouldability validation and simulation into manufacturing-ready data. The result is a file that can actually be made, not just a visual mockup.
RebuilderAI's VRING:ON is an example of AI Agents & Automation applied to physical product design. The tool addresses a persistent bottleneck in AI for Product Development: converting a creative design into a manufacturable CAD file. At VivaTech, the company demonstrated this by pulling a heritage brand's archived design through the pipeline and onto a humanoid robot dressed in the recreated product.
A model built for the brand, not the crowd
What sets the system apart is its brand-exclusive model architecture. Instead of a general-purpose web service that returns the same output to anyone, RebuilderAI provides a dedicated AI model tuned to each company's own data. The 3D foundation model is trained on a brand's style, materials, production conditions, manufacturing know-how and historical archive. Both the training data and the outputs remain the property of that brand.
Users can create new agents and continuously refine them through feedback, building a design-assistant AI tailored to their specific needs. "We tune our AI model to each individual brand to protect the security of that brand's data and to preserve the distinctiveness of its style," Jeonghyeon Kim, RebuilderAI CEO said. "With ISO international-standard certification, we provide a stable, enterprise-grade AI model tailored to each company."
European push and industry backing
The company is expanding its commercial footprint internationally. It has secured investment from Korea's Naver and Japan's ASICS Ventures, joined a Samsung accelerator programme, and was selected for NVIDIA's Inception programme-recognition of its 3D engineering capabilities. Following VivaTech, RebuilderAI plans to move actively into the European market, supported by a local sales team based in Paris.
Why this matters for Product Development
Product development teams working on hardline goods often lose weeks translating a design concept into a viable CAD file, especially when revisiting legacy designs or archival materials. VRING:ON compresses that cycle by generating manufacturing-ready data directly from a brand's own design DNA. Because the model is trained on proprietary data and stays inside the company's control, the usual risks of IP leakage or style drift are reduced. For teams managing seasonal collections or heritage lines, the ability to rapidly resurrect archived designs and validate them for production could shorten time-to-market and lower the cost of experimentation.
