Relativity and Wickard.ai Partner on Legal AI Training for Law Schools

Relativity and Wickard.ai announced a partnership to bring hands-on artificial intelligence training to law schools across the United States. The collaboration will combine Relativity's RelativityOne platform with Wickard.ai's curriculum covering AI applications, output verification, ethics, and regulation.

Participating law schools will offer the training at no cost to students. The program gives future lawyers practical experience with AI tools used in modern legal practice.

What's Included

Wickard.ai has already led AI programs at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Washington University in St. Louis, Southwestern Law School, the University of Washington School of Law, and the University of Mississippi School of Law. Case Western's program is the nation's first required AI course for law students.

Relativity Academic, which launched in 2014, serves over 115 academic institutions globally. The new partnership expands that reach by integrating Wickard.ai's curriculum into the program.

Why Now

Phil Saunders, CEO of Relativity, said the legal industry has already adopted AI at scale. "AI isn't coming for the legal industry; it's already here, and it's fundamentally changing how law is practiced," he said.

Oliver Roberts, founder and CEO of Wickard.ai, called legal AI literacy "a core competency for future lawyers." He said the partnership emphasizes hands-on learning over theory.
