Salesforce adds AI agents to Agentforce for marketing teams

Salesforce has introduced four AI agents designed to handle lead generation, content creation, and campaign management within its Agentforce platform. The company announced the tools during its Connections 2026 event in June.

The new capabilities let marketers work alongside AI agents that analyze customer data, qualify leads, generate content, and manage campaigns. Salesforce positions the tools as a way to reduce time spent on administrative work, freeing marketers to focus on strategy and creative decisions.

What each agent does

Piper, developed by Qualified, identifies and qualifies website visitors in real time. The agent routes qualified prospects directly to sales teams.

Hunter identifies potential customers, initiates outreach, and manages email nurture campaigns automatically.

The Agentforce Content Agent generates marketing materials across email, SMS, mobile messaging, and personalized promotions. It localizes content for different markets and languages while using customer and business data to tailor messaging.

The Marketing Goals Agent automates campaign execution. Marketers set objectives, budgets, and operating limits. The agent then determines audience segments, content, channels, and timing, adjusting campaigns based on customer behavior and performance.

Access through existing tools

Salesforce built conversational interfaces into the platform, allowing users to access Agentforce through Slack. Marketers can create campaigns, update customer journeys, and review performance without switching applications.

Why Salesforce is moving here

Salesforce cited research showing 86% of marketers believe AI has fundamentally changed how customers engage with brands. Another 78% say they need more personalized content than their teams can currently produce.

Eric Zenz, senior vice president for product management at Agentforce Marketing, said the goal is to "empower marketers with AI agents that help them do work that wasn't possible before."
