SK AX Launches AI Service to Catch Greenwashing Before It Damages Your Brand
SK AX released an AI service this week designed to identify greenwashing in marketing materials before companies publish them. The tool, called "AXgenticWire Compliance," scans disclosure reports, product introductions, and webpages for claims that could expose companies to legal risk or ESG rating penalties.
Greenwashing - making false or exaggerated environmental claims to appear eco-friendly - can trigger financial penalties and tank a company's ESG scores. A single problematic phrase in marketing copy can trigger regulatory action.
How the service works
The AI was trained on over 3,400 greenwashing cases and regulatory decisions. When you upload marketing materials or link to webpages, the system flags problematic language and suggests alternative phrasing to address the issues.
SK AX plans to distribute the service through "Click ESG," its existing AI for Marketing compliance platform used by more than 3,400 companies in South Korea. Click ESG already provides industry-specific metrics and peer benchmarking.
What this means for marketers
For marketing teams, the tool offers a pre-publication checkpoint. It catches potential AI for Legal and regulatory issues before they become public problems.
Kim Kyung-sung, head of SK AX's manufacturing division, said the company plans to add global legal and regulatory cases to the system. This expansion targets companies that export products and face multiple jurisdictions' advertising standards.
