The 2026 AI Creative Summit returns to BFI Southbank on 11 November, expanding to take over the entire venue with three content streams and over 600 expected attendees. Organisers have named the first wave of speakers, drawing senior figures from broadcast, production, and the UK's AI business sector.

Priority tickets are now available for £455 (excluding VAT), with a limited number at that price before they rise to £505 and then full price. The Summit runs as the media industry's flagship event for AI, targeting professionals across broadcast, production, tech, brands, and the creator economy.

First speakers and the companies represented

Eline Van Der Velden, founder and CEO of Particle 6, joins the programme. Her production company created AI actress Tilly Norwood and has produced content for the BBC, Amazon, Sky Kids, and Hearst Networks. Fremantle group head of sustainability Shaunagh Duncan and Sky Entertainment Group COO Caroline Cooper are also among the first confirmed names.

Additional speakers include Justin Hackney, CCO and co-founder of Wonder Studios; Will Hanrahan, editor-in-chief of FirstLookTV; and Ed Bengoa, director of post production at ITN. The opening list also features film and scripted TV director Teddy Nygh, co-founder of Fully Focused Productions & Million Youth Media; Anthony Geffen, CEO and creative director of Atlantic Studios; and Tim Flagg, CEO and founder of UKAI, the UK's only trade association for AI businesses.

What the Summit covers

The programme spans seven topic areas: rights, ethics and responsible AI; AI in production; the future of storytelling and audience engagement; skills, talent and the next generation; policy, regulation and industry leadership; AI, business and competitive advantage; and emerging technologies and future horizons. Sponsors include Vizrt, AWS, EngineLab, and Snicket Labs.

Why this matters for creatives

For editors, producers, and directors, the Summit addresses practical production questions - how AI tools are changing post-production workflows, what rights and ethics frameworks look like in practice, and where the jobs market is heading. The presence of companies like Particle 6, which has built a business around an AI-generated performer, signals how close these shifts already are. Sessions on skills and talent point to concrete changes in hiring and training that working creatives will need to track. For those wanting to go deeper, Complete AI Training offers an AI Learning Path for Video Editors focused on production-side skills, as well as a broader AI for Creatives resource hub.
