The government will open applications April 30 and host a business briefing May 7 in Seoul.
The initiative targets 32 manufacturing tasks selected for their potential impact and urgency. Support will vary by sector, with options including large-medium-small business partnerships and AI model development tailored to specific production processes.
Why Now
South Korea's manufacturing sector faces real pressure. The working-age population is shrinking, global competition is intensifying, and supply chain disruptions have tested even established industries.
