Storiad and Bitta AI partner to turn books into interactive marketing assets

Storiad and Bitta AI announced a partnership on September 14, 2026, that will let authors turn their books into AI-powered interactive marketing assets. The deal gives authors and publishers a tool to generate revenue from their intellectual property before a reader ever makes a purchase, by letting prospects experience the book's content directly.

The partnership combines Storiad's author marketing platform with Bitta AI's Living Book format. Unlike static marketing materials such as excerpts, ads, or reviews, a Living Book allows a prospective reader to engage with the book itself. A nonfiction reader could ask questions about an author's ideas, practice a sales technique described in the book, or apply a methodology to a real-world situation. Fiction readers can interact with characters and explore elements of a story's universe.

How the economics of book marketing shift

Authors invest significant time and money creating, publishing, and marketing their books, yet most promotional tools operate outside the book itself. A Living Book becomes a reusable asset that authors can embed into websites, email campaigns, social media, publicity efforts, and presentations. Instead of asking someone to buy, authors can give that person a reason to experience the book first.

Ramzi S. Hajj, Founder and CEO of Storiad, described the logic plainly: "Authors spend money and time trying to get people to notice their books, understand their books, and ultimately buy their books. A Living Book gives them something fundamentally different. Instead of just telling someone why they should buy a book, we can give them a way to experience the book before they buy it."

The sequence the partnership enables is straightforward: See a book, interact with it, experience its value, then buy it. For knowledge-based books on leadership, sales, negotiation, or personal development, the economic opportunity may be particularly strong because the book can demonstrate its utility immediately. For fiction, the interactive experience can create a deeper connection with characters and worlds, turning a passive sample into an active reader experience.

Reader engagement as a marketing signal

Reader interactions with a Living Book also generate data. Authors can see what questions readers ask and where they engage with the material. This feedback loop matters for marketing teams that need to understand what resonates with an audience before scaling a campaign.

Siyuan Guo, CEO of Bitta AI, said the goal is not to replace the book. "We're creating a way for that product to become interactive. The goal is not to replace the book. It is to give readers another way to discover its value."

A Living Book can be incorporated into multiple stages of a Storiad marketing campaign, including lead generation, author websites, email campaigns, social media, publicity, media outreach, book launches, and ongoing reader engagement. This approach is part of a broader shift in how AI for Marketing is changing the tools available to content creators and publishers.

What the rollout looks like

The partnership is initially focused on nonfiction titles that teach a skill, with fiction applications following. Authors and publishers interested in participating can register through Storiad's partner page at Bitta AI. They will be onboarded as Living Book experiences become available.

More than 250,000 new titles are released in the United States each year. The challenge of capturing attention and converting it into sales has made formats that demonstrate value directly more urgent. For marketing managers evaluating new channels, the Living Book represents a unit of content that sits between awareness and purchase - a step that traditional book marketing has largely skipped.

Why this matters for marketing professionals

This partnership signals a shift in how intellectual property can function as a marketing asset. Instead of relying on third-party descriptions, testimonials, or sample chapters, authors can now let the product sell itself through direct interaction. For marketing managers, the takeaway is concrete: interactive, AI-driven content experiences are moving from experimental to operational. If a book can become a lead-generation and conversion tool, the same principle applies to white papers, methodologies, and training materials that marketing teams already produce. The Living Book format is one early example of how static content can become a dynamic part of the sales funnel.
