Synera Raises $40M Series B to Scale AI Agents for Manufacturing Engineering
Synera closed a $40 million Series B funding round led by Revaia to expand its platform that uses AI agents to automate engineering workflows across product design, simulation, and optimization. Capgemini, BMW iVentures, UVC Partners, Cherry Ventures, Venture Stars, and Spark Capital also participated.
The platform integrates with more than 80 hardware engineering tools and runs on-premise, meaning manufacturers can deploy AI without exposing proprietary data or disrupting existing systems. The company counts NASA, BMW, Airbus, Volvo Trucks, and Hyundai among its 60-plus enterprise customers across 15 countries.
The Problem Synera Addresses
Most manufacturing companies struggle to move AI from pilots to production. Engineering remains one of the least automated functions in industrial organizations, despite heavy investment in AI technology. Synera's approach is to automate the entire engineering value chain-the fragmented set of tools and processes that product development teams use daily.
By orchestrating workflows across design, simulation, and optimization, the platform aims to reduce development time, lower material waste, and free engineers from repetitive tasks.
What the Funding Supports
Synera plans to expand across the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The company is positioning itself as a category leader in AI for Product Development by treating AI Agents & Automation as a core function of engineering teams.
Dr. Moritz Maier, Synera's CEO, said: "Engineering is the backbone of every industrial company, but remains one of the least digitized and automated functions that was, until recently, largely inaccessible to AI. This funding enables us to deliver a fundamentally new mode of engineering, where AI agents operate as true digital engineers, executing complex workflows across the entire value chain."
Jérémie Falzone, partner at Revaia, added: "Synera represents a new category of enterprise software where AI agents can operate as part of the organization itself. The platform's end-to-end orchestration delivers a measurable impact on speed, cost, and resource efficiency."
