TCS launches AI-native creative engineering studio in London

Tata Consultancy Services opened an AI-native creative engineering studio in London on September 7, 2026, giving creative teams a physical space to co-design customer experiences with strategists, engineers, and domain experts. The 4,500-square-foot facility is part of TCS' pledge to create 5,000 jobs across the UK and Ireland over three years.

The London studio joins a global network that includes a New York location launched in 2025. It will operate as an extension of TCS Interactive, the company's digital design, marketing, and experience-led transformation division. Clients can work alongside hybrid teams with the flexibility to scale capabilities as project needs change.

What the studio offers creative teams

The hub brings together designers, industry specialists, and engineers under one roof. Rather than handing a brief between separate departments, clients co-create with multidisciplinary teams from the start. The studio gives regional businesses access to TCS' global network while incorporating local market knowledge.

Kamal Bhadada, President of TCS Interactive, said the goal is to help clients "unlock new growth opportunities by orchestrating strategy, product design, engineering, and insights with an AI-led approach." The studio connects UK clients to global capabilities for creating experiences, driving adoption, and sustaining growth through data.

Demand for AI-enabled services

The launch arrives as demand for AI-enabled services hits record levels and AI reshapes content creation. Nitish Mittal, Partner at Everest Group, described the shift in client expectations: "What clients want now is those disciplines working as one, shifting from 'can we use AI' to 'can we use it to create experiences customers genuinely value.'"

For years, enterprises separated design and engineering into distinct phases. Mittal said the dedicated co-creation space TCS opened in London is an example of how that convergence can happen close to the client and the work itself. The studio is designed to turn concepts into scalable business outcomes faster than traditional handoff models allow.

Workforce strategy in the UK

The London studio reflects a change in how TCS approaches talent. The company is recruiting professionals who combine creative skills with business understanding and technology expertise. Vinay Singhvi, Head of UK and Ireland at TCS, said the studio "reflects our commitment to driving innovation for our clients and AI-led creative engineering" and aligns with the government's push for technology innovation.

The facility is part of continued investment in the UK and Ireland market. TCS has operated in the region for decades and generated consolidated revenues above $30 billion in the fiscal year ending March 2026. The company runs service delivery centers across 56 countries and sponsors major endurance events including the TCS London Marathon.

Why this matters for creatives

This studio signals a concrete shift in how large consultancies structure creative work. Instead of treating design as a discrete phase that gets handed off to engineering, the model embeds creatives alongside technical teams from day one. For designers, copywriters, and strategists, that means earlier influence on product decisions and faster iteration cycles. Professionals who want to work in these hybrid environments should consider building fluency in AI tools. Courses in AI for Creatives and AI Design Courses can help bridge the gap between traditional creative skills and the technical collaboration these studios demand.
