TikTok announces AI tool that creates video ad campaigns from text prompts

TikTok is rolling out an AI tool that can build complete video ad campaigns from text prompts and suggest content strategies based on what's trending on the platform. The announcement gives marketers a shortcut to creating and scaling TikTok promotions without filming original footage.

The new tool, Symphony Agent, sits within TikTok's Symphony Creative Studio. It lets marketers enter text cues, images, and video clips for inspiration. The system then analyzes what's working across TikTok and generates example videos that mirror high-performing content. Users can tap any example to see performance insights and, with a "Create your own" button, produce a similar ad that incorporates expanded guidance from the original prompt.

How Symphony Agent builds campaigns from scratch

Marketers can also start with a blank slate. They input whatever campaign details they have-a product description, a target audience, a visual style-and Symphony Agent generates video examples using ByteDance's latest Seedance 2.0 model, a Text-To-Video system that turns prompts into finished clips. The entire process happens without opening a camera app.

The examples TikTok shared look polished, but actual output will depend on the prompt's specificity. Even when the AI-generated clips aren't perfect, the tool still provides useful direction on which content styles and presentation formats are resonating within a specific niche. This trend analysis, drawn from real TikTok engagement data, is a resource for marketers refining their creative strategy.

Additional creative assets and translation tools

Beyond video, TikTok updated its Symphony tools to produce still images, as well as video and audio avatars. The suite can now translate and dub videos into multiple languages. This opens a path for brands to localize ad content without hiring voice talent or re-shooting footage.

Creator briefs and Dentsu integration

Symphony Agent can also generate creator briefs and identify influencers to invite for campaign pitches. Improved search helps marketers find existing creator videos that align with their brand. TikTok is launching an integration with Zoyumi, Dentsu's AI-powered SaaS platform. "Through this integration, dentsu clients will have direct access to Symphony creative tools, including Image to Video now and Caption Removal, Dubbing, and Digital Avatars in the future," TikTok said.

Why this matters for marketers

The tools reflect a broader push toward AI for Marketing on social platforms, compressing the time from idea to live ad. Marketers who don't want to rely entirely on AI-generated content can still use the trend insights and creator matching features to sharpen their campaigns. The translation and avatar capabilities lower the cost of running multi-market campaigns on TikTok. These updates make the platform's ad ecosystem more accessible to teams that lack large production budgets or in-house creative departments.
