Vanta’s Breakout Growth and AI Innovations Set New Standard for Cybersecurity and Compliance
Vanta secured $150M in funding, reaching a $2.45B valuation while automating compliance for 10,000+ customers. AI-driven tools speed security reviews and ensure responsible innovation.

Vanta’s Growth and Innovations in Cybersecurity
Vanta is making notable strides in cybersecurity, with Chief Revenue Officer Stevie Case highlighting the company’s impressive growth at the RSA Conference in San Francisco. The trust management platform recently secured $150 million in Series C funding, bringing its valuation to around $2.45 billion.
Modernizing GRC Processes
Vanta is changing how governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) are managed. According to Case, the industry has long relied on spreadsheets and screenshots for these tasks. Vanta replaces those outdated workflows with a modern, automated process that helps customers become audit-ready and compliant more efficiently.
This approach has found strong market demand. Over the past 18 months, Vanta has surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and gained 10,000 customers, ranging from startups to large enterprises. The company plans to use its new funding to expand its reach, replace manual GRC solutions, and advance AI-driven product innovation.
Integrating AI for Smarter Security
Vanta is focusing heavily on artificial intelligence to improve security assessments. The company recently launched AI security assessments aimed at helping businesses build AI applications responsibly and securely. Case emphasized the importance of managing the risks that AI introduces while enabling innovation.
Vanta has also achieved ISO 42001 compliance, a standard that certifies responsible AI use. They are the first trust management platform to reach this milestone. This aligns with their mission to enhance consumer data protection and internet security. The company is developing AI-powered Questionnaire Automation that can speed up security reviews by five times.
Focusing on Quality, Not Just Efficiency
For Vanta, AI is about improving the customer experience and enabling their team to focus on high-value work, rather than just cutting costs or boosting efficiency. They are building an AI-focused team within their revenue operations and bringing in a founder in residence for a specialized nine-month project to drive AI innovation.
Looking Ahead
Case shared that Vanta has several AI-related products in the pipeline, all aimed at making security and compliance easier and less time-consuming for customers.
Since its founding in 2018, Vanta has become a leader in automating compliance with key security frameworks like SOC 2. The company supports over 8,000 clients, including Atlassian, Omni Hotels, Quora, and ZoomInfo, helping them maintain strong security practices and continuous trust.
Funding and Support
The recent funding round was led by Sequoia Capital and included new investors like Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives and J.P. Morgan. Existing investors such as Atlassian Ventures, Craft Ventures, CrowdStrike Ventures, HubSpot Ventures, Workday Ventures, and Y Combinator also participated.
Case summed up the opportunity this way: the GRC space was overdue for improvement, and software builders want better tools. Vanta aims to deliver solutions that simplify compliance and help companies build trust with their customers. They’re just getting started.
