Wialon launches ChatGPT app to simplify fleet management

Fleet management platform Wialon released a ChatGPT application on July 6, 2026, allowing fleet operators to pull real-time vehicle and operational data through conversational queries. The app eliminates the need to sift through menus or run manual reports, cutting the time managers spend hunting for information.

How the App Works

Available in the ChatGPT App Market, the app lets users log in and ask questions in plain language. The system returns structured answers, summaries, maps, and insights covering fleet status, mileage, fuel use, and performance analytics. This approach shifts analytics from static dashboards to real-time conversation-a practical example of AI for Operations in action.

Tailored to Different Roles

A dispatcher might ask, "Which vehicles are currently at the depot?" while a fleet manager could type, "What should I pay attention to today?" An executive can request a quarterly fuel efficiency summary. All answers come through the same interface, without navigating separate report modules.

Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon, said: "What excites me about this launch is that it changes the starting point. Instead of thinking about reports, menus, or filters, users can start with the question they want answered. For the first time, users don't need to know where the answer lives. They simply need to know what they want to understand about their business."

A Step in a Larger AI Strategy

The new app follows Wialon's earlier launch of Lona, an AI assistant that handles technical, financial, and operational inquiries for partners. Gurtam, the company behind Wialon, is building out AI capabilities to make the platform more intuitive. The goal is to reduce friction between people and the data they rely on, shortening response times and improving decisions.

Why this matters for Management

Managers spend less time assembling reports and more time acting on insights. Tools like the Wialon ChatGPT App point toward a future where AI for Management reduces the cognitive load of data retrieval. For fleet leaders, that means quicker answers, fewer manual steps, and better operational oversight-rather than asking staff to pull numbers, they can ask the system directly.
