AI agent for computer science students

Assignment Deadline Planner Agent

Finish every assignment on time without last-minute rushes

Assignment Deadline Planner Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Students juggle assignments across courses with different deadlines, and big projects tend to start the night before. This agent reads course syllabi and learning platform calendars, lists every deadline, and breaks large assignments into steps with mini-deadlines that leave a two-day buffer. It builds a weekly plan around classes, work and other commitments. Each day it asks what got done and checks whether the student is on pace. If a step slips, it replans the remaining steps and warns when a deadline is now at risk. The student approves any plan change. It never contacts teachers itself. Edge case: if two big deadlines clash in the same week, it flags the clash early and suggests the student ask a teacher for guidance while there is still time to adjust, rather than the day before.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensIn week three of the fall term, the agent listed 14 deadlines across four courses for Maya, a second-year nursing student. It split her 3,000-word ethics essay into five steps, with the outline due October 9. On October 10 the daily check showed the outline was not done after a double shift at work. The agent replanned the remaining steps, moved two reading tasks to Sunday, and warned the essay was at risk. Maya accepted the new plan.
