Campaign Budget Pacing Diagnosis Agent

Pacing alerts that reflect real spend, not data delays.

Campaign Budget Pacing Diagnosis Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Campaign spend often looks over or under budget only because the reporting data is late. Each day this agent calculates pacing for each campaign against its budget plan. Before it raises an alarm, it checks whether the data for the period is complete, since ad platforms often report the last day or two late. If data is missing, it adjusts for the lag and checks again after the next refresh. When the gap is real, it looks at how spend is split across campaigns and prepares options for the owner, such as lowering a daily cap. It revises its diagnosis when new data changes the picture. The analyst approves any bid or budget change. Edge case: an export misses two days.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It checks lag before declaring overspend.

  • Check reporting lag before declaring overspend or underspend.
  • Alert only when the gap exceeds tolerance on complete data.
  • Options go to the owner; no bid or budget is changed automatically.

An example run

What happensOn 12 November the agent flags a search campaign at 68% of expected spend. The completeness check fails: the export is missing 10 and 11 November. It waits for the next refresh. Refreshed data shows spend at 97% of plan, so the alert is withdrawn. A social campaign is still at 124% after a complete refresh. It drafts two options. The analyst approves lowering its daily cap.
