AI agent for court reporters

Case Word List Prep Agent

A verified word list loaded before the job

Case Word List Prep Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Misspelled names and technical terms in a transcript mean hours of corrections and an unhappy attorney. Two days before a job, this agent builds the case word list. It reads the notice, caption, prior transcripts and any exhibits shared, and pulls names of parties, witnesses, attorneys, companies, places and technical terms. It looks up spellings from public sources such as company sites and medical references. It checks each spelling against a second source. If sources disagree, it marks the term for the reporter to confirm. It compares terms to the reporter's dictionary and suggests briefs for missing ones. It includes both brand and generic names for drugs. The reporter reviews and loads the list. Edge case: a drug brand and generic name both appear, so the agent lists both.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensFor a medical malpractice deposition on October 14, the agent listed 74 terms. The spelling check failed for the surgeon's name, which appeared as Kowalczyk in the notice and Kowalcik in an exhibit. The agent marked it. The reporter confirmed Kowalczyk with the attorney's office, added a brief, and loaded the list into the steno software.
