Casting Self-Tape Review Agent

Every valid tape seen, organized by role, with clean callback logistics

Casting Self-Tape Review Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Casting calls bring in hundreds of self-tapes, many with missing scenes or bad sound, and sorting them buries the filmmaker. As tapes arrive, this agent checks each one meets the casting call: right scenes, length, slate, a playable file and clear sound. Incomplete tapes get a polite request to fix, sent after approval. It logs each actor's details and availability against shoot dates. It builds review playlists by role, with technically complete tapes first. It does not judge the acting. After the filmmaker rates tapes, it checks availability and agent contact for the shortlist and drafts callback invites. The filmmaker approves every message. Edge case: an actor unavailable for some shoot days is still shown, with the conflict noted.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
