AI agent for chief digital officers
Emerging Technology Pilot Review Agent
Every pilot reaches a clear scale, extend or stop decision on time
What it does
Pilots of new technology often start with enthusiasm and end without a decision. This agent keeps each pilot honest. At the start it records the success criteria, the agreed measures and the decision date. Each month it collects results from the pilot team, usage data and costs, and compares them with the criteria. Before scoring, it checks that results use the agreed measure. If results are missing or measured differently, it asks the team for the agreed measure and does not score until it arrives. It also checks open risks such as security reviews. Near the decision date it drafts a recommendation: scale, extend with new criteria, or stop, with the evidence for each. You make the decision and tell the team. Edge case: a pilot that meets its targets but whose vendor failed a security review gets a hold recommendation, not scale.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Monthly pilot check
- Load criteria and decision date from the charter
- Collect usage, cost and team results
- Are results measured the way the charter defines? If not: ask the pilot team for the agreed measure. Back to step 3.
- Score each criterion and note risks from reviews
- Draft scale, extend or stop recommendation
- Executive sponsor makes the decisionThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Decision recorded and next steps assigned
How it decides
It compares each result with its agreed criterion. All met means scale, partly met with a clear path means extend, otherwise stop.
- Scale when all criteria are met and no open risk blocks it
- Extend only with new dated criteria
- Hold when a security or legal review is open
