What it does

After a farm visit, the advice is on paper and nobody checks whether the farmer followed it or if it worked. This agent logs the recommendations from each visit, schedules follow-ups for the right dates, and later checks field data and weather to see how things are going. For example, if you advised a late nitrogen top-up, it checks rainfall, crop stage and any scouting data. It drafts a follow-up note to the farmer. If results look off, such as disease pressure rising despite the advice, it adapts the advice and drafts a revised note. You approve every note. Edge case: when a farmer has not acted on the advice, it asks what blocked it instead of repeating the same message.

How it decides

It compares expected outcomes from the advice to observed field data and weather. If they diverge beyond a margin, it revises the advice or asks the farmer why.

  • No action taken after 14 days: ask what blocked it
  • Result outside the expected range by more than 20 percent: revise the advice
  • Heavy rain after an application: recheck the dose or timing
  • Farmer prefers phone: draft a call script instead of a message

An example run

What happensAfter a 6 June visit the scientist advised a fungicide on Alvarez farm. On 20 June the agent found no application logged, and the check failed. It asked what blocked it, and the farmer said the product was out of stock. By 27 June rain had raised disease pressure, so the agent revised the advice to an alternative product and spray window.
