AI agent for sports coachs
Game Day Lineup and Playing Time Agent
A lineup and rotation plan that meets league rules and keeps season minutes fair
What it does
Coaches try to rotate players fairly but forget who sat last week, and some leagues require minimum minutes. This agent reads availability, injury notes and past minutes, then drafts a starting lineup and rotation plan for the next game. It checks the plan against league minimum playing rules and the coach's own fairness target. If any player falls short, it reshuffles rotation blocks and checks again. After the game it reads actual minutes from the scorebook and compares them to the plan, then carries any shortfall into the next plan. It decides between options by keeping position balance first, then evening out season minutes. The coach makes the final lineup and in-game changes. Edge case: if a player is cleared to return from injury with limited minutes, it caps that player and notes the cap on the plan.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Game in two days
- Read availability, injury caps and season minutes log
- Draft starting lineup by position
- Build rotation blocks for each period
- Does every player meet league minimums and medical caps?If not: reshuffle rotation blocks and recheck. Back to step 4.
- Coach finalizes lineup and rotationThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Import actual minutes after the game
- Did actual minutes stay within 10 percent of plan?If not: note the shortfall and carry it into next game's plan. Back to step 7.
- Updated season minutes log
How it decides
It fills positions first, then gives extra time to players furthest below their season target, while honoring any medical minute caps.
- League minimum minutes are a hard rule, never traded for position balance
- Players more than 15 percent below season target get first extra block
- Medical minute caps always override fairness targets
- Late availability changes within 3 hours trigger a short rebuild, not a full one
Make it yours
Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.
- League minimum minutes per game (default per league rules)
- Season fairness target (default equal share)
- Allowed plan vs actual gap (default 10 percent)
- Number of rotation blocks per game (default 4)
What keeps you in control
It always asks you first
- Coach finalizes the lineup
- Coach decides any in-game change
Hard limits
- Never overrides a medical cap
- Never shares individual minutes with other parents
It stops when
- Done: plan approved and actual minutes logged
- Stop: fewer available players than the league minimum to field a team
