AI agent for sports coachs

Practice Plan Drill Sequencer Agent

A practice plan that targets the team's weak skills and fits the time, space and players available.

Practice Plan Drill Sequencer Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Practice plans repeat the same drills, and the skill that cost last week's game never gets coached. This agent reads the last game's results, your skill goals and attendance and builds a practice plan with timed drills. It checks time, space and equipment against what is available that day, such as a half court or 10 players, and revises the plan. If a drill needs more than the available resources, it swaps it. Edge case: only 8 players show up, so the agent changes a 5-on-5 drill to a 4-on-4 one. The coach approves the plan.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It weights drills toward skills with the most errors in the last game and replaces any drill that does not fit the resources.

  • Spend 50% of drill time on the top two weak skills.
  • Do not repeat a drill used in the last two practices unless asked.
  • Drills must fit the player count present.
  • Include a 5-minute buffer.

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • The practice plan

Hard limits

  • Do not plan activities beyond the players' ability or safety rules.
  • Do not send the plan to players or parents.

It stops when

  • Done: the plan fits and the coach approved
  • Stop: not enough players or space exists, so the agent suggests a skills session

An example run

What happensAfter a loss with 14 turnovers, the agent targets ball handling and passing. The first plan includes a 5-on-5 drill and a full-court drill, but only 8 players are confirmed and the gym is half-court. The check fails. The agent swaps in a 4-on-4 half-court drill and a pairs passing circuit. Coach Mills approves.
