AI agent for school counselors

Graduation Credit Check Agent

Every student on track to graduate

Graduation Credit Check Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Counselors must make sure every student is on track to meet graduation requirements, and a missing credit found in senior spring is hard to fix. At the start of each term this agent compares every student's transcript with requirements by subject area, projects credits through the planned graduation date, and lists students at risk, seniors first. For each, it drafts a meeting invite and lists recovery options such as credit recovery, summer courses or schedule changes. The counselor meets the student and family and approves any schedule change. At term end the agent checks whether each gap closed. If not, it looks for summer or credit recovery options and escalates to the counselor. Edge case: transfer students with credits still being evaluated are flagged separately so they are not told to retake courses they may already have.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

An example run

What happensAt the start of spring term, the agent checked 310 transcripts. It projected 12 students short, including Ava Cruz, missing half a credit in fine arts. Counselor Leo Park met with them. At term end, the check found Ava's art course was dropped. The agent looped back and found a summer option. Leo approved the plan with Ava.
