AI agent for fine artists

Grant and Residency Application Agent

Complete, compliant applications submitted before deadline

Grant and Residency Application Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Grant applications are rejected for small rule breaks, like a statement over the word limit or images that are too large. This agent keeps a calendar of grants and residencies the artist qualifies for. For each one the artist chooses, it reads the guidelines and builds a checklist: statement length, project description, budget, work samples with size and format rules, references and CV. It drafts texts from the artist's existing statements, tailored to the funder's priorities. Then it checks every item against the guidelines: word counts, image sizes, file names and budget totals. Failures are fixed and checked again. It reminds references well before the deadline. The artist edits the texts and submits. Edge case: a residency that bars recent past holders is filtered out early.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It checks eligibility first, then validates every item against the written guidelines.

  • Skip opportunities the artist is not eligible for
  • Request references three weeks ahead
  • Budget totals must equal the request

An example run

What happensA $5,000 grant due April 15 needed a 300-word statement, 10 images under 2 MB and a budget. The check failed on three counts: the statement was 342 words, three images were 4 MB, and the budget summed to $5,250. The agent trimmed the statement and resized the images, then asked the artist which budget line to cut.
