Sales Channel Pricing and Sold-Out Agent

Every channel shows the master price and the right availability for every work

Sales Channel Pricing and Sold-Out Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Prices differ across channels and sold works stay listed, which causes awkward cancellations. This agent compares the price and availability of each work across the website, gallery sheets and marketplace listings. It checks each against the master price list and the sold records and flags mismatches. For each one it drafts a correction, such as updating a price or removing a sold listing. After the artist approves the changes, it applies the updates and checks every channel again to confirm they now show the right price and status. If a channel did not update, it retries or flags it for manual action. Edge case: a gallery price that includes commission is compared against the master price plus the agreed commission, not flagged.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

A channel is wrong when its price differs from the master price plus its commission rule, or when a sold work is still listed.

  • Compare gallery prices with master plus commission
  • Delist any sold work in all channels
  • Never change a price without approval
  • Re-check each channel after an update

An example run

What happensThe weekly check found 3 mismatches. A print listed at $450 on a marketplace had a master price of $480, and a sold painting was still on a gallery sheet. The agent drafted the corrections, and the artist approved. After the update, the marketplace still showed $450 because it had cached the page. The check failed, so the agent retried and it updated. All channels then matched.
