AI agent for user support specialists

Helpdesk Translation Ambiguity Agent

Support agents understand exactly what the customer means, whatever their language.

Helpdesk Translation Ambiguity Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Machine translation of support tickets can lose technical meaning, such as 'account' versus 'billing account' or 'sync' versus 'backup'. A wrong reading sends the ticket to the wrong team. This agent translates each non-English ticket, looks up terms in the approved glossary, and lists terms that could mean more than one thing. For each, it drafts the possible meanings and tests them against the screenshots, account data and context the customer provided. When the evidence supports one meaning, it writes a support brief with that interpretation and the reason. When the evidence contradicts every option, it drafts a precise clarifying question in the customer's language instead of guessing. The support agent approves all replies. Edge case: product names are never translated, even when they are common words.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It keeps the interpretation most consistent with evidence and asks when interpretations conflict with what the screenshots show.

  • Interpretation: choose the meaning consistent with screenshots and account data.
  • Ask or proceed: ask a clarifying question when evidence contradicts every option.
  • Glossary first: an approved glossary term always wins over a general translation.
  • Never translate product names or error codes.

Make it yours

Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.

  • Glossary used for terms (default the company's approved support glossary)
  • Languages handled (default all languages with an approved glossary)
  • Confidence needed to proceed without asking (default one meaning clearly supported)
  • Tone of clarifying questions (default polite and short)
  • Who approves replies (default the assigned support agent)

What keeps you in control

It always asks you first

  • Sending replies
  • Final specialist translation

Hard limits

  • Never sends replies itself.

It stops when

  • Done: brief ready.
  • Waiting: clarification sent.

An example run

What happensA Spanish ticket arrives on March 18: 'No puedo acceder a mi cuenta'. It could mean the login or the billing account. The screenshot shows the billing page with an error, so the check passes for billing. A second ticket's screenshot shows neither page, so the check fails and the agent drafts a short clarifying question in Spanish. Agent Tomas Rivera approves both replies.
