AI agent for conversion rate optimization specialists
Landing Page A/B Test Planning Agent
A single-change test plan that is launched correctly and read at the right time
What it does
Tests are often launched with weak hypotheses, too many changes at once, or stopped too early. This agent reads the current page analytics and finds the biggest drop-off step. It drafts a hypothesis that changes only one thing, with variant copy. It checks the page's traffic against the sample size needed to detect the expected lift and sets a stop rule, such as a minimum run time and visitor count. If traffic is too low, it proposes a bigger change or a higher-traffic page. Once the test runs, it checks for significance and read-outs by device. If the result is inconclusive, it plans a follow-up test. The client approves launching and any winner going live. Edge case: a result driven only by one traffic spike day is flagged, not declared a win.
How it works
Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.
Read the steps as a list
- Test planning starts
- Read page analytics and find the biggest drop-off
- Draft a one-change hypothesis with variant copy
- Calculate the sample size needed and compare with traffic
- Can the page reach the sample size in the allowed time?If not: choose a bigger change or a higher-traffic page, then redraft. Back to step 2.
- Set the stop rule and metrics
- Client approves launching the testThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Read results when the stop rule is met
- Is the result significant and not driven by one spike? If not: plan a follow-up test with a different change. Back to step 6.
- Client approves putting the winner liveThe agent waits here for your OK.
- Test report and next test plan
How it decides
It picks the step with the largest drop-off and traffic. A winner is declared only when the stop rule is met and significance reaches the set level.
- Test only one change at a time
- Do not read results before the minimum run time of 14 days
- Require 95% confidence and the planned sample
- Flag results driven by a single day
Make it yours
Every agent is a starting point. You choose these settings for your own situation.
- Confidence level (default 95%)
- Minimum run time (default 14 days)
- Expected lift used for sample size
- Which conversion goal to use
What keeps you in control
It always asks you first
- Launching the test
- Putting a winner live
Hard limits
- Never launches a test or changes a page without approval
- Never stops a test early
It stops when
- Done: a validated result and plan for what comes next
- Stop: traffic can never reach the needed sample
